IP Forum 2026 for DHI Companies
Unlocking the Value of Intellectual Property (IP) for Bhutanese Enterprises 🇧🇹
The Department of Media, Creative Industry and Intellectual Property (DoMCIIP), in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), convened a one-day IP Forum on September 4, 2026, at Hotel Mayto, Langjophakha, Thimphu, bringing together CEOs and senior representatives from Druk Holding and Investments (DHI) and its companies.
The Forum highlighted a critical shift in how businesses need to view Intellectual Property (IP)—not merely as a means of legal protection, but as a strategic business asset that can drive innovation, competitiveness, commercialisation and enterprise value.
Through interactive discussions led by IP Expert Mr. Gaurav Jain, participants explored how companies can identify, prioritise, protect, manage and commercialise their intellectual assets, while strengthening IP risk management and long-term business value.
As Bhutanese enterprises move towards a more knowledge- and innovation-driven economy, recognising and unlocking the value of IP will be increasingly important for sustainable growth and competitiveness.
From invisible assets to tangible value—Bhutanese enterprises are beginning to see IP differently.
